Legacy, a Fantastic Journey in Another Time
Medieval fairs and historical reenactments magically draw thousands of vistors every weekend, and fantasy films like Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons enchant the public. But for those who want to do more than watch, there's Legacy, just the ticket to another exciting fantasy world. Legacy is a classical roleplaying game which was developed especially for Symbian smartphones.
Just after taking their first steps into the game environment one can feel a special tingling- that's how it is when one walks into another world. Reminiscent of the legendary classic "Eye of the Beholder", the scenes, clothing, accessories and weapons have a common denominator inspired by the saga-like character of the legends of the early middle ages.
The brothers Mersant and Sohl, heirs to the crown of Monares, fight bitterly for control of its power until Sohl takes his brother captive and claims uncontested dominion over the crown. His rule is cruel and has been solidified by a pact with evil powers. Countless monsters of different kinds strive to bring an end to the player's life, but there is magic that heals with holy righteousness and harms with vicious relentlessness, and that is enough to help win the day against the darkness.
After the start of the game the player is led into a dark forest to a settlement called Decrantes which one can discover in the test version. on the way to Decrantes the player encounters trolls, golden treasures, weapons and treasures, an more objects can be found in the homes of the town. If one wants to have a look into one of the houses, then they just touch the head of the figure. With the objects that have been collected along the way the player can build up their own arsenal and equipment, and of course the player can go ahead and enjoy this or that magical potion. To make sure that things don't get to confusing and that the player doesn't get lost a map is drawn as the player progresses. It also indicates important spots which have to be searched or are otherwise necessary for the story.
On the way to the village of Decrantes one can meet talkative citizens who often mention important tidbits of information. Several offer their help to the player and give important tasks which need to be completed to go on. For example, one task involves freeing a citizen's cellar from the grip of montrous spiders. Another involves retrieving an amulet which was stolen an much much more. Each of the adventures is dangerous and some more so than others, but the reward for completing the task is just as high as the level of danger. Earning gold allows the player to purchase more powerful weapons in Decrantes, to pay for lodging in an Inn or to purchase more potions and elixers in the local tavern.
The tavern is especially important. Here one can meet adventurers, mercenaries and wizards with whom one can trade or even hire. Up to three more companions can join the group to test the danger, but beware: the danger is bitter and knows no mercy! It's good advice to include at least one wizard to cure wounds, and the experience earned from battle and solving problems makes your characters stronger and more able to face stronger dangers in the future.

Legacy is a roleplaying game for smartphones which is already quite complex in the test version alone, but the latest technology of the full version offers a gripping story, great graphics and first class sound effects for days of enjoyment. There's also a horde of expansions and upgrades to keep you questing!
